WORKSHOP 14th March 2020 Screenprinting on glass - Layered landscapes
Saturday 14th March 2020
Join Helen on this popular course to create a unique layered fused glass sculpture which can be used as a free standing piece or tealight shield.
This half day course will take place at Manchester Craft and Design Centre in a dedicated workshop room. Suited to both beginners and those with experience of glass making or printing, you will learn the principals of screen printing and fused glass. This course is also a great addition if you have been on a glass screen printing workshop before.
During the session you will work with coloured enamels in a very hands on and free way to produce painterly mono prints onto layers of glass. You will be guided through different techniques to form stencils and blend colours to add depth to your work and create a landscape effect.
Everything you need to create your own imagery will be provided on the day but you are welcome to bring inspiration or photographs along with them to work with.
All materials and kiln firings are included in the ticket price and complimentary refreshments will be provided. You will have the opportunity to make one 15x 10 cm sculpture from multiple layers of glass.
Finished pieces will be fired and shaped in the kiln two to three weeks after the workshop and can be collected from Helen’s studio or posted on for an £8 charge. The postage charge is automatically applied to workshop tickets booked online to so if you would like to collect please use the discount code STUDIOCOLLECT at the checkout to remove the fee.
